Palm oil or hydrogenated palm oil after moderately oxidized distributes slight odor similar to violet, If you smell this smell in the determination of stability or accelerated oxidation test, can qualitatively express palm oil exists.

Based on actual production experience, CPO deodorization temperature is generally between 256-265 degrees, if too low, is not conducive to emerge FFA and decompose color, too high will increase the cost and trans fatty acids.

Fractionation

Palm oil fractionation, in order to accelerate the crystallization speed, we usually feed seeding method to help crystallize, the melting point of added seed is higher than that of the raw material. There are two ways: First, in accordance with the proportion, add directly in large jar of fractionation material, mix well and then pumped into the crystallizer tank for cooling crystallization; Second, join another good crystallized crystal in the crystallization process, which usually shortened crystallization time 100-300 minutes, while improving yield of liquid oils.

The key of adding crystal seed lies in ratio(seed covers materials)and quality of seed(mainly melting point). The most commonly used method of palm oil fractionation is dry fractionation.
